Moments in time with Andrew Semark

In the heart of Western Australia's Southwest, Andrew Semarks photography finds its roots. Raised amidst the rugged beauty of the region, he discovered his passion for capturing its diverse landscapes and coastal scenes. From the striking red hues of the desert to the serene blues of the ocean, Andrew's lens has always been drawn to the natural contrasts and dynamic range of colours that define his homeland.

Harsun Australia chose Andrew Semark to shoot their first Capsule of Travel Merino Products , Xplore Backpack  and Headwear not only for his unique talent of shooting landscapes and surfing - For us, it was how he can capture the richness of product and place, people and the moment .

By producing small capsules of product we can keep our purpose on track and Andrews talent behind the camera, enhances our message .

We caught up with Andrew and chatted about photography and what is next for him in his career. He is excited to step into the world of Video and has plans to produce a Fine Art Book to share his works over the past decade .

Andrew's hope for his viewers is simple: to evoke a sense of appreciation for the small details that make each scene unique. His photographs are an invitation to pause, reflect, and discover something new with each viewing. More than capturing moments, Andrew aims to spark curiosity and inspire a deeper connection with the natural world.

Andrew's career reached a milestone when he was invited to exhibit his work internationally in Dubai. This opportunity not only showcased the Southwest's allure to a global audience but also inspired him to further hone his craft. Surrounded by fellow artists, Andrew found validation and motivation to continue exploring new horizons in his photography.

Motivated by a desire to instil a sense of wonder in his children, he hopes to leave behind a legacy of respect and conservation for the region's unique ecosystem. Looking ahead, Andrew's focus shifts towards exploring the stories hidden beneath the ocean's surface. Through his photography, he aims to shed light on the delicate balance of marine life and the challenges it faces. But beyond capturing images, Andrew seeks to connect his audience to the journey behind each photograph, inspiring them to appreciate and protect the Southwest's natural treasures.

Heres a few of our favourite images Andrew captured in March 2025, a special thanks to our muse Thom, from Tasmania. He was the perfect fit for us , with a true appreciation for nature, wool and all things ocean .

For anyone looking to adventure and capture moments as they travel , Andrew recommends for a all round camera is the Fuji , point and shoot style camera, and suggests  X100VI  , he explained that the image quality is insane and puts you in the area of action , where you can capture that magic moment .

His latest clip with Otis Eyewear is an epic insight into the commitment and magic that Andrew encaptulates in his work . He has ventured deep south of Western Australia , wearing our Harsun Pure Merino Beanie on his ski , shooting raw moments .  Watch here with Otis.
